MON 27.07.2009 - US OPEN: Huntington Beach (18.-26 july) Big Wave Drama @ US OPEN
There were huge swell present through the whole US open at Huntington Beach, which started on the 18th of July and ended yesterday 26th of July. In the competition we witnessed some pretty dramatic wipeouts and slams due to the pretty tough conditions. The competition saw Brett Simpson beating Mick Fanning in the final, claiming the prize money of 100000$. Brett Simpson made his way to the final by knocking out CJ Hobgood (semi), Nathanial Curren (quarter). Whereas, Mick Fanning met Adriano De Souza in the semi-final, and Michel Bourez in the quarterfinal. Check out the videoclips provided by grindtv.com
