BOURNEMOUTH:
Bournemouth Surf School: Provides beginner lessons, both group and individual lessons are available. Duration 2-3 hours.
Sorted Surf Shop: Provides beginner lessons, both group and individual lessons are available. Duration 2 hours.
CORNWALL:
Surf's Up Surf School: A home grown ‘grassroots’ family business that has established itself as one of the best surf training centres in the UK through reputation, recommendation and a track record of safe operation. Provides a wide array of different types of surf lessons.
Cornwall Surf Academy: Specialise in teaching beginner and intermediate surfing lessons for those aged 8 to adults at different surfing beaches in Cornwall including Holywell Bay nr Newquay, Gwithian in St Ives Bay & Poldhu nr Mullion.
.....GO TO A SURFING CAMP
There's nothing like a week or two of perfect surf, sunfilled weather, socialising and generally getting your surf on in a warm country. There's a number of excellent surf camps out there, so make sure you do your research before signing up with anyone. Depending on what time of the year you want to go to a surf camp, there's different "high seasons" of surf. Here's a little list of some of the most popular surf camp destinations (when travelling from UK, northern EU or Scandinavia:
Ericeira, Portugal. Located right outside Lisboa. High season: April -> October
Agadir, Morocco. Located west of Marrakech. High season: November -> April
Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria, the Canary Islands, Spain.
Hossegor, France. Located on the west coast of France.

So, you're home from camp, completely psyched after an awesome trip with plenty of wavecatches, good times and surfbabes. Not necessarily in that order.. The surfer in your heart has awokened, and you know it's time to get your own equipment. Which just happens to be the title of the next chapter in the surf guide.
