Description: This is a humor sketch which was originally aired on the norwegian gameshow "Løs på tråden" in 1992 on TV3. It is supposed to be a 'punch' against the americanization of Norway, therefore they have taken an old norwegian tradition Hallingleik and mixed it with an american trademark, the burger. Thereby, acquiring the genius title for the sketch Burgerleik. By the way, Hallingleik is a norwegian dance tradition where you kick a hat of a stick, but you knew that, didn't you? The sketch is painfully embarrasing to watch, and you should understand that this does not mirror the everyday norwegian. Ragnar Otnes is the MC, with some incredible 'rap' skills and Mads Ousdal is the dancer, he actually got some skills, but his whole attire makes it stomach-churningly embarrasing aswell. He is one of the most famous norwegian actors at the current time (2009), and has starred in films such as "I Et Speil I En Gåte" (2008), "Kodenavn Hunter" (TV Miniseries - 2007), "Detektor" (2000). He had his breakthrough in "Salige Er De Som Tørster" aka Blessed Are Those Who Thirst, in 1997. 5 years after his incredible appearance at "Løs på tråden". I bet he feels that this sketch is something he could have done without on his CV..

Rolf Otnes: NORWEGIAN - 'Dette her med kulturkræsj det er noe som ofte har blitt nevnt etter at... at vi nordmenn vi tar ofte etter amerikanere og så kræsjes to kulturer og så videre. Og her skal vi.. eller jeg vet ikke om vi skal se et eksempel på det, men vi har i hvertfall fått istedenfor en såkalt Hallingleik, så skal vi ha en såkalt Burgerleik. Here we are.. or I don't know if we are actually going to see an example of it, but we have instead of a so called Hallingleik, we got a Burgerleik (translated to Burgergame). So instead of kicking down the hat, we are going to kick down this burger. And we got... Keinen to help us with, and we also got Mads Ousdal, which among other things has danced with Märtha Louise (norwegian royal family) for a long long time. Alriiight, ok! HIT IT! (Beat starts, Mads Ousdal starts dancing around) Alriiight, we gonna have some little dancing here right! We gonna have a little burger king! YOU GONNA MOVE THE BURGER TO THE MOON, ALRIIIGHT? You gonna be.. you ready? ALRIIIGHT! YOU READY TO JUMP THAT BURGER IN THE MOON! (Say whaaat? ;D) So come on, hit it right now! (Mads Ousdal does that worm dance) He's gonna hit the burger, he's gonna hit it to the moon! He's the dancer, he's gonna dance around, he's gonna be the burgerman, he's gonna kick it!
I don't know why, or the way he will kick it, but he's gonna kick that burger. COME ON, LETS DO IT NOW! One, two, KICK! YEAH! (Mads Ousdal tries to kick the burger, but misses. Following the miss Rolf Otnes jumps mindnumbingly out on the dancefloor) Alriiight! Let's do one more time. Hey! You gonna move it? You gonna move that burger? (Ja, ja!) You gonna kick the burger? (YO!) Alriight, let's see.. hit the burger! Alriiight. One, I said two.. (Mads Ousdal kicks the burger off the stick!) ALRIIIGHT! KICKING THE BURGER! Let's put up another burger! (another burger is attached to the stick)

(This is the part where Rolf Otnes jumps out on the dancefloor on one leg trying desperately to mimic Mads Ousdal's dance moves. Failing miserably though, liking like a dork on one leg) You ready?! You ready?! You ready?! (Yeah) You gonna.. move a burger?! (Ja) Sure you ready?! (YO!) Alriiight, let's do em' in! Here we go! Here we go! (Mads Ousdal kicks another burger of the stick) ALRIIIIGHT!! THE TALK FOLLOWING THE DANCE... (note how Rolf Otnes completely violates Mads Ousdals personal zone, standing only a couple of centimeters from his face. Haha!)
